Need some help removing my challenge grill

    I had another thread on this but the title isn't very specific and I don't know how to delete the thread. My apologies.

    I really want to remove my challenge grill and paint it glossy black, but I have some questions:

    In the photo below, does the circled item have to be removed to get the panel off?

    Do you remove the actual lights first, and then remove the grill?

    There are a couple of bolts way in the lower corners that are super tight to get to. Any suggestions on this?

    I also removed my grill recently to paint it gloss black. I’m not sure what that is that you have circled. My 2001 Spider does not have it, so it must be aftermarket. I found the the easiest way to get to the lower bolts was to remove the rear wheels and wheel well liner panels. You should have good access once that is done.
