my car's been stored since nov of last year.
    under cover
    battery unhooked

now, i decided that i would rearrange the cars in my garage, and wanted to move the ferrari.

however, i can't seem to get the doors open.

my garage is currently not heated (though i will do the rennovations this spring - for next winter)

    are my doors frozen shut?

i put the key in, turn it and pull the handle and nothing. neither door will budge.
seeing as the battery is unhooked, i can't use the remote.

    what do i do now?

i've placed a little heater by the door to see if that'll correct the problem, but it's slow going.

(one thing i did is unhook the battery, close the hood, and then use the key to manualy lock the doors back when i first stored it. do the door locks require power to open? if so...i'm up the creek)

any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    actually,

it might be frozen. i remember cleaning it sometime in december on one of the warm days and probably moisture remained and froze when it got colder.

    whoops.

the heaters are still going..we'll have to see.

Be gentle! You do not want to tear the rubber stripping on the frame. A pain to replace (and expensive).

    thanks.

well the heaters brought the garage up to 10+ degrees and the doors opened fine. (must've been frozen).

she got a brief stroll on the driveway and street and then back to hibernation. LOL!

i too can't wait for the warm days of spring to arrive.

Next time, you should use WD-40. You spray it inside the key hole and door locks through the door gap. It acts like an anti-freeze without damaging your car. It works fine for me with frozen doors.
