I just did this last week on my 360 Spider. I tried oven cleaner and the chemical is too toxic. Then I tried 90% isopropyl alcohol from local drug stores. It takes more time and patience but the result is great! Just change out the rag more often.

Go to Home Depot and get Zep Industrial degreaser (purple gallon jug). Will take it right off and will not harm the paint on any switches or buttons. I did it two years ago, no problems.

I wouldn't risk using a cleaner not intended for interior surfaces. Sonax and DP interior cleaner come highly recommended by auto detailers. The use of a small interior detail brush and a MF cloth is all you will need for plastics, vinyl, leather and rubber.
