    Hi all,
OK, here is my thoughts need your input. My A/C at vent on high fan is 42 degrees (garage-shaded), sounds great was my thoughts too...
Living in South Carolina with a very strong Sun- super high humidity the A/C just cannot keep the cabin chilled...
Yes, A/C is still blowing cold at vents however it just seems the blower speed is too low speed on high...when cloudy, the cabin gets chilly...sun cripples it.
So, on the way home today in my other vehicle I tried something, I had the A/C on high fan...blowing super strong about double the strength of the 348. Works great keeps me cool, I turned down the fan speed to about what is high on the 348 & just about the same effect, cannot keep up with the heat coming through windows from Sun.
My thoughts are this, how can we get the Fan blower motor to turn higher RPM's?? I cleaned all relays, installed the 30A fuse fix, my A/C contoller is working perfect. Boils down to fan speed.
Can the motor be rewound to run faster>? Maybe a replacement with a higher RPM? The squirrel cage was clean so no loss there....
Need your thoughts on this, I really think if we can increase fan speed we can actually cool these in the summer!!

First, was the A/C in "recirc" mode or outside air mode?

Otherwise, it might just be a ground connection that needs some Stabilant 22a.

Sometimes one of the air vent tubes will come loose (remove the 3 main vents and look inside to see). Turning off the passenger-side vent can help, as well.

Failing all of that, yes, a local magneto shop will be able to rewind your fan motor to increase its speed.

Yep, recirculating flap is operating & in closed position for max cool. Yep, vent hoses are fine. How does yours do? does the fan blow like your other vehicles?

No, my 348's fan isn't as strong as the A/C blower in my Jeep.

i once replaced the blower in my alfa spider a/c with a higher speed fan and there was no improvement. all of this is a function of the evaporator size and the size of the blower cages. you should verify that the freon levels are correct. if everything is ok i think your only fix is to re-do the evaporator case and put in a larger motor with a larger cage which will push more air. hopefully, the added air-flow will make it through the vent system. also, old air products in fort worth makes a rear airflow enhancer you may be able to adapt and install, as a booster fan. its item ip-0101. phone 817-531-2665.

I feel exactly the same about my blower. Too weak for a hot day.

If someone explains to me like I am a child how to get the motor assembly outta the box I will make mine the guinea pig....I think there is like 8 + or- phillips screws & the top box lifts off giving view to the motor/squirrel cage. I also need the easiest way to get the felt off the top half of trunk...tell me I do not hafta take the whole damn liner out...I started to go after it the other day but the drivers side 2 screws (the ones on side of case by the firewall) under the lip were a hassle to get at it & I said hell with it & made this post..Also is it just the side screws that need to be removed or are their some by the firewall?
Again, explain how to get it outta there including liner & I will be more than happy to gett'er rewound with more RPM's. I am confident another 100-200rpms would make a big difference...Hell I have taken squirrel cage fans made them spin like hell & they throw out a ton of air, the coil seems to be cold enough to allow more flow without compromising air vent temp...

Maybe this will be a solution to lousy air flow...
    Thanks in advance,
    Chris
