Truth be told, NC and OR, but I've similar 'scapes in areas relatively close to Manhattan. Recognize this one: Image Unavailable, Please Login
yes i do about 5 weeks ago was there this morning and there are no leaves on the trees but very serene (definately spelled that wrong)
What road is this? I would say taconic but ive driven that in its full length about a million times and that doesnt look familiar.
Trees are nice but WOW is that an Arena Red 993 Cab? Ya don't see those too often...what a beauty! That is the Palisades Pky North and I was braking due to a radar signal on my K40. The Troopers always sit on the center median in the trees at just about that spot.
Reminds me of the Smokey Mts. in N Carolina. Both Pallisades and Teconic are a beautiful roads! There is a website which lists great scenic roads. I wanted to do one in New Hampshire a couple years back, in the Jag duing leaf watching season. It runs about 35 miles.
I've been on Catatonic runs but not Taconic. Dave led us on a nice route and I think we were on the Taconic for a bit. This is a good alternative if we don't do a LI run.
The Taconic is a great road, but it is notorious for NYS Troopers with Laser in the wooded areas along the highway. There are some great roads directly off the Taconic as well as you head north...I'd be in for this run 100%.
