Hey all - my 360 has finally joined the club of dropping it's roof lining so I'm looking for an upholsterer to replace it. It's a cloth lining but "might" look at alacantara or even leather.

Anyone got a recommendation of someone in Melbourne or South/West Gippsland that you've used? Preferably someone who doesn't add the 2000% Ferrari tax too ;)

    Thanks,
    Jon

    Jon, I use MJM, here:

Suggest you give Michael a call, you can mention my name, he does all my trimming work. (Being 200m away helps)!!

He won't have the original material you need, however will be able to source it, or won't mind if you supply your own. If it's a custom installation, he'll either have it, or samples.

I know of no decent trimmers your way. However there must be some.

I'd trust Carl's suggestion knowing his eye for detail, but another option is Bill Moussa at B&M Leather Creations who did mine.
While I was able to salvage the original material pretty well on mine (hopefully you have as well) I elected to go a matching leather grain to the rest of the interior.

Any tradesperson trimmer will be able to do the job particularly if you're looking at changing the type of material being used.
It isn't that specialised a job.
Many cars do the same thing..as me about Magnas!

Just did the wife's Aston. About 5 hours to get the roof panel out, then the trimmer retrimmed it, and about 2 hours to put it back in.

Is there actually a panel between the roof and the foam on a 360? I was under the impression from other posts I’d seen that the foam was glued directly to the roof. That would certainly make it easier to get retrimmed.

Eggzackery,it isn't a black art and unless the trimmer is an idiot they won't/shouldn't put a Ferrari tax on it.
The OP is from a country area?...trimmer would be a D/head if they want return bizz and nil gossip.

I'm sure most auto trimmers could do it, my problem is handing over the keys to my car to some unknown shop who's probably going to take it for a spin 'coz they've never been in/seen/driven a Ferrari before.

Ask them if their 'goods in legal and physical control' insurance is up to date, most workshops should have it.
.....and take note of the milage and get the workshop to write it on their jobcard.

No panel as such on mine, just a tar like noise damper which is glued to the roof, then the foam to that. I used dynamat to replace noise damper and had them glue the foam over that. Getting rid of the old glue was a PITA. I used a heat gun to soften it, then citrus APC and a tonne of scrubbing.

Thanks for the info and pics. Did you just use heat to get all that crap off the roof? I'm concerned about it damaging the paintwork or getting too aggressive and putting a dent in it.
