Posted this in Silver. Also posting here: I was towing my 430 from Chicago to Naples. Around 1 a.m. and about an hour north of Tampa on 75, some kid hit the trailer causing it fish tale. We ended up in the grass and our SUV flipped over. Miraculously no other cars were involved and we walked away seemingly unscathed....at least physically. Good Samaritans stopped immediately and helped us get out. They also provided witness accounts of what happened because the kid originally told the Sherrif that I hit him. The 430 sustained front end damage and is leaking coolant. Those are the visible injuries. So the question is what to do now to repair the 430? Should I have it done locally, in which case I need a recommendation for a body shop near Tampa, should I have it transported to Ferrari Coachworks in Ft. Lauderdale, or have it transported back to Chicago? We have a home in Naples so Ft. Lauderdale isn't terribly inconvenient. I also need a body shop recommendation for the 2010 Infiniti QX56, near Bushnell, FL. I think it would make sense to take care of that locally. Thanks in advance......Spiro Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
That's gotta be scary to go through, happy no one was injured, hope the kid was ticketed and insured! speaking to the 430 repair - from my experiences, Ferrari Coachworks lacks Q/C and I'll leave it at that... there's way better options for paint and body repair on the SE coast. Give Luc a call, his shop is in Davie but I think he goes back and forth now between Fort Lauderdale & Naples. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks. Having it towed to Ferrari of Naples for initial assessment. The kid has USAA insurance. Let's hope he has high limits. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
