Hi all. I just bought my first Ferrari, a 2006 gated 430 spider. The rear glove box does not open. I also do not have the backlights on most all the switches and the dials for the climate controls. I have pulled the rear glove box switch out and there is no power at any slot of the connector. The rearmost slot seems to be direct to ground. Putting power to the front slot of the switch connector gets all the switch and dial lights back. I have tried all the likely fuses and a bunch more. I even swapped around a few relays. i am really stuck. Any wiring information would be great to try and troubleshoot this. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, Dominick, the Scud wiring diagrams don't include the Spider's rear glovebox, but oddly include the front glovebox (which isn't fitted to the Scud, I believe).

Someone was promising me the "regular" F430 diagrams, but he's a little busy at the moment (and I don't know if they will include the Spider's glovebox wiring anway)

For console switches and assorted toggle switches, backlighting is on the yellow (with red stripe) wires.

The HVAC panel is the exception. According to your diagrams, it's a grey wire (which is attached to a bunch of yellow/red wires further upstream). I haven't been able to identify all the wires on the HVAC panel, so there may be other lighting power sources (like the F355 has).

    Problem solved.
    Thanks for your help.
Main problem was the glov box switch was plugged on to the wrong socket. The incorrect socket appears to have been freed up when the car was converted to a gated set-up.
