NH Members and Friends of CMI:

Next Thursday, May 4th, the full Senate will vote on HB-90.

As members, your voices and the voices of your friends had a great impact on the House Committee vote and we need your help again.

The Senate Transportation Committee voted to KILL HB-90 4 to 2.

While we encourage you to contact your local Senator, we really need to focus on three Senators in particular - Senator Kenney, Senator Johnson and Senator Odell. If you live in or have friends who live in their districts, we need to contact them and stress the need to vote NO on HB-90.

Please pass on this email to others who support Club Motorsports and our project.

We could also use the support of the Mount Washington Chamber of Commerce so if anyone can provide a contact or reach out to them directly, that would be great.

Here is the contact information for the Senators:

Here are the talking points we want to impress on the Senators.

    VOTE NO ON HB-90.

HB-90 is not about local control; its aim is to not allow our facility to operate.

The law past last year (SB-458) clarified a 40 year old law. It was passed fairly by both the Senate and the House and signed by the Governor. Club Motorsports did not trick anyone or try and go around the town. Club Motorsports looked to the state of NH for un-bias protection from a group in Tamworth who oppose the facility.

This project is great for New Hampshire.

As members, we are excited about having Valley Motorsports in New Hampshire.

Valley Motorsports Park will provide great jobs and tax relief for Tamworth.

Valley Motorsports Park will generate tourism dollars for the local communities.

Club Motorsports has invested millions of dollars into the project because SB-458 became law.

Members and many investors put their faith and confidence in the law. We have put our hard earned money into this project because of SB-458.

But now, after one year, they want to change the rules and change the law. This is not good business for New Hampshire. This is not the way to attract business for New Hampshire.

Passing HB-90 shows you can’t count on NH and Carroll County in particular for support for business growth and good development.

As NH members, we plan on spending our time and money in the state of NH; enjoying performance driving – our passion.

For our New England members and those members across the country, they will come to NH and spend their money.

We should have this type of facility in New Hampshire. Show us the Senate understands the needs of business and is pro-business.

There are many great examples of successful road course facilities across the country:

GingerMan (also in a resort town without zoing)
    BeaveRun in PA
    AutoBahn Country Club (outside Chicago)
    Summit Point
    Virginia Race International

As members, we know Valley Motorsports Park will be one of the top facilities of it’s kind.

    We want Valley Motorsports Park!

    VOTE NO ON HB-90.
VOTE FOR GREAT DEVELOPMENT. VOTE FOR BUSINESS.
