Needle shows max oil pressure before engine start

    Hi all,

    I've had my 03 360 Spider for a few weeks now.

    No real problems so far although i have now noticed
    that on turning the key a quarter turn to run the check process the oil pressure
    gauge shows max without the engine fired. It then continues to show max when started, idled and driven.

    Faulty oil pressure sender unit?

    Anyone seen this before?

    No CEL and drives fine...

    Yes. Replace it and things should be good.

    Yep. Sounds like the wire connecting to the sender is unplugged/disconnected/snapped off the sender unit.
    By default, if the wire is not plugged in, the readout on the gauge is at maximum.
