Saw a very nice F car I would consider buying. My color, my interior etc...

However, paint sticker says repaint and carfax shows a minor accident to right front.

Price seems a bit lower than normal I'm thinking representing the accident.

How important is this for future resale?

These things never seem to bother me, if the repair was done correctly, but
everyone elsethinks its the kiss of death.

    Any thoughts?

Potential buyers will question as you are right now, unless it's reflected in the price. Probably best to start clean, unless you only plan to keep it for a short while and pass it on for profit or minimal loss. Too many other good low mile cars out there so that's what you'd be faced with come sale time.

It's probably okay but you haven't said what year and model. If it is a model less than 20 years old it will always have a bit of a "story" compared to literally dozens of cars with the same specs and mileage that could be on the market at any given time. All that means is that it should sell for a discount.

If you are able to confirm that the damage was not extensive and that the repair was done correctly, and plan to keep the car for a while, negotiate a lower price than a no stories car and drive the heck out of it.

I'd lean this way. Unless it's a truly rare vintage car -- those have almost all been repaired and repainted at some point.
