    “THAT’S IT!”
I wondered where I saw the likes of the 12C and it’s not the original Daytona- It’s a modern version of the Toyota 2000GT!

I love the 550, it looks elegant, modern and simple. The F12 I feel is the last good looking Ferrari GT V12 since I wasn't really a big fan of the 599 or the 612 in the looks department. The 812 didn't do it for me, especially the front headlamps, but I will say the Competizione does look pretty mean. But I think we all can agree that all of these cars look better than this newest 12Cilindri by far.

Now this is all pure superficial athstetics...as far as performance goes all of theses car are awesome and I'm happy to see the NA V12 staying alive and well!

5 years from now…nearly everyone in this thread will have a 12C. Just my admittedly controversial 2 cents.

At which point the 12C Competizione will look and sound terrible and won’t be worth the upgrade… “Keep your 12C or 812 Competizione people!”

Being uglier than the 812 comp would be a great performance!
I’m just wondering how they will get more power out of that engine for the 12C VS (announced by day355).
Hybrid to go in 12C successor direction technically?
But that will be another thread for sure.

This shareholder crap is a bunch of garbage, a luxury brand should never go public, it totally goes against the point of the brand. What Ferrari needs to do is limit cars to 5,000 a year and increase msrp to 800,000

Was it the white car? That one in particular can look a bit Japanese. And yes it looks big ... BUT it's still a good looking car and I think the color choice makes or breaks this design. Wheel choice as well.

I was at the factory in June with a small group doing a tour on a Saturday, and could see a line of cars up the alley. One appeared to be a hatchback (gold and black) -- all we could see was a partial rear view which was obscured by another car behind it. It was a 12 Cilindri, which the black section made it appear literally to have a back hatch. Not good.

The question is why didn’t Ferrari simply buy PF.

LdM wanted an in house design team that worked exclusively on Ferrari designs. Not a new Ferrari design coming from a company that also designed cars for other manufacturers. Also modern Ferrari designs needed much greater and timely collaboration between designers AND engineers. It was all about 'control' and with efficiency being a bonus. Flavio Manzoni started with a clean sheet of paper and created Ferrari Design.
Buying Pininfarina was simply not a viable choice.

The cars would have continued to look good and therefore be a viable choice.

You’re probably right. It has more presence and prettier details in this video than in pics imho. Seems incredibly quiet though. Hopefully there will be an aftermarket solution.

It does seem quieter, but agreed, that video does highlight more of the contours etc. White is a great color for the 12 Cilindri.

Was told by someone who went to dinner with the CEO of _______ at Monterey (I’m still floored as to whom) when asked of his opinion of the 12 C said “dog sht.”

Although I think perhaps this was lost in translation- should have said bird sht to reflect the stupid black bits on the turd.

Curious to those in the know- do the black bits on bird sht act as flaps at 60 kph?

    Painted shields?

It doesn’t provide much info if we lack the context and the author. He could be the CEO of just about anything which can go from interesting to irrelevant.
