Are you happy/angry/disturbed with your neighbors on the street?

Discuss at interesting stories. For me, one neighbor isn't on the bright side with wives around with husband's because he holds random parties with young women coming in from random areas that are um....HOT.

Mine are okay. I have a nosy, real-estate-know-it-all type across the street, but he's harmless. Behind me these people have a barking yippie dog that won't shut up. Screaming out the window at them usually clears the problem right up.

    Otherwise, just normal neighbors.

Write an polite note to them and sign it from "the neighborhood" and slip it in their mailbox at night. Every time they leave it out after then re-write the note and put in red letters "1st warning" "2nd warning" etc.

I used to live next door to a woman who had a breathalizer machine in her home. She had to breathe into it 3 times a day and it would capture her picture and send it to the police station so they could verify that she was not drinking. While I lived there she went to jail for 10 days for her offense. The day before she left she begged me, crying, for a beer or a drink of rum. She had two kids who lived with their dad (thank god). She owned four cars, three of them non-running and full to the brim with garbage, and I watched her run into her own garage door once after she'd been drinking. I'm so glad I don't live there anymore. Nothing I did to help her worked.

The fall of '05 the house next to mine sold and the new owners decided to take a small house on 80x100, knock it down, and construct a mini-mansion. After 1 1/2 years of construction, its just about complete. Just ignorant people. They needed to dig for a retaining wall, so while i was at work, they took the liberty of digging a 3 foot trench down the property line, ruining all of our landscaping we did the summer prior.
The new owner did not as much as apologize to us , and then proceeded to leave the trench open, with no safety wall, for 2 weeks. After ne complaining for those 2 weeks since my sons safety was priority, I took it upon myself to put up an orange safety fence, and told the owner and builder that if i found that they stepped a toe onto my property , i would take action that they would regret.
After a few months, and countless smaller 'issues' with the builder, i finally had it out with him, i think the final straw was them pumping out their flooded basement into the street, sending 100's of gallons of mud into street that proceeded to desocrate my and my neighbors front yards.

Now they are moved in, and we totally ignore each other. Thety guy is a fa--it, and his wise scurries into her house if my wife and I are out in front of our house.
I hope they are hapy they have a 1.3 million dollar house that they feel uncomfortable spending time outside of.

Alls i would have liked to hear was an 'Im sorry for the builders actions, what can I do?'

    Oh well

My neighbours are great. I have no rear neighbours. The two beside me are ok with me stradling my ESP electric guitar and pumping up my Marshall stack to eleven while in my favourite undies and wearing my 10-gallon cowboy hat. :p:p

Good neighbors, probably the best anyone could have. We all know eachother and are in tune with the goings on of the neighborhood, such as, who is on vacation, who has relatives visiting who is redecorating the yard and such. Once a year, the neighbors a few doors down makes a chili dinner where everyone is invited. Christmas time, a couple host a gift shop out of their home, same thing. When it's girl scout cookie season, we all get our cookies. Only one bad element to speak of though. Next door, the couple have a "bad seed" kid. Most of the time, he's somewhere else, but on occasion he brings one or two of his con friends to the neighborhood. Looks more like Ice Hot Stuntaz came to town. The sherrif has been out three times to their home in the years I've lived here and the third time was a doozy. The sherrif knocks on my door and demands that I evacuate my home. Odd request right? The sheriff goes on to explain there's a bomb in the area and to clear right away. So the neighbors and I are booted out of our homes for a few hours until the bomb squad does their job and deems it ok to enter our homes again. Since then, the rap party has been very infrequent.
