    Hi Guys,
The neoprene washer I have on my thermostat has split in half, should i go back to a copper one or stick with the neoprene rubber one?
I figure the rubber one has a better seal but due to heat in engine bay will crack over time. Also is this an 8mm washer?
    Thanks

The difficulty with using a rubber washer there is that you really can't tighten the bleed screw much without squeezing the washer out or breaking it. With the engine vibration, you'd be better off using a fresh (i.e., fully annealed and soft before crushing) copper washer IMO.

    Thanks Steve,
