Brings back memories! I remember going in to collect a car from my mechanic, at the same time my Enzo was there for a service, when I saw it, it was like this! Couldn't believe it!

If I remember correctly this was to change the air con filter!

    Crazy.

    Regards
    Mike James

    Hi,

sorry, but than they done it wrong. It is possible to do it without removing the panels, but takes ultra mega long. You can turn the screw very little each time...

It does make it easier to access the filters, that's true.

THIS car was having the nose panels refinished and cleaned up, I'm betting the filters were checked while it was apart < wink >

Why? Blacks the easiest color to match thus no blending of adjacent panels, if done correctly no one would ever know the difference.

I'm confused. You say they did it wrong, but then say the alternative takes " ultra mega long", and you can only turn the screw a little each time, so this is the correct way? Do less work but take much longer, and charge me for the pleasure of not getting a good grip of the screws of my 217mph car. Let me know when your free to do some work, I hear Verdi is recruiting!

I never said it takes longer. It is just not as comfortable.
It is faster than dismantling half the front of the car. You don´t have to dismantle all the stuff and reinstall and adjust all to get good panel gaps. Also the possibility of collecting scraches is lower. Or of forgetting to tighten other srcrews correctly of your 217mph car ;)

I changed the filter in about 2 and a half hour myself. And just touched 7 screws. 4 of the trunk compartment, the two screws to connect the Air Con pipes ant the one of the filter holder.
So in my opinion it is the better way.
