    I have a ‘97 F355 and the above is my paint code. The usually reliable Dr. Colorchip does not carry this shade of touch up paint. Does anyone have another source? I believe the paint to be one of the last examples to leave the factory with single stage paint. Perhaps that is the issue?

    UPDATE:
    I just noticed that they have code “1240” if I scroll back to the 348 paint code section. Can anyone confirm if 1240 is the same as 1240 DS?

    A photo of the paint tag would be helpful not only in determining the color, but whether or not it was single stage vs. multi-stage paint.

    yeah, that's Gasurit single stage black... later cars with dual stage paint have PPG decals.

    Odd that Dr. Color Chip can't help.
