Hi all, I recently changed my F1 pump, and has anyone had the issue of the car not being in true neutral? It feels like its still kind of in gear? Catching something, I can push it in reverse fine, but forward feels like its grabbing something. Its an 01 spider with 32,000 miles. Thanks Jay
Not sure why this would change just by replacing the F1 pump, but Sounds like the PIS (point of initial slip) might need to be re-adjusted...the dealer can check the measurement start on the transmission control unit (tcu) The early 360s unfortunately did not have an adjustable pis like my 99, but with the older tcu usually a relearn procedure the dealer can do will fix the issue.
The car does not want to roll fwd - it will freely roll backwards. I'm wondering if I got air in the system- when I swapped my pump
Ok, so a little confused...so you're saying in neutral is does NOT creep forward on level ground? or, are you saying, when you point on a downward hill in neutral it will not move forward?
When I press both paddles in the car states its in neutral- yet when I try to push the car by hand/foot. It feels like its partially grabbing in gear (not wanting to free roll forward)..Only free roll in reverse?
in that case, are you sure you are in a flat surface which is not always obvious by the naked eye? your car was probably on a slight slope so when u push it backwards it was easier
No Slope, I was pushing it off a in ground lift, Felt like the car was grabbing somewhat in gear, After rocking it back and forth it slowly ungrabbed, it was easy as pie to roll it backwards, but not forwards. I will try to change the PIS settings, what should the suggested settings be?
