Ok... so tell us stuff about what happened today, at work or whatever you do.... Just out of the ordinary things like... An axeman came into my shop today.. seriously... A well decorated guy (no, not medals) asking me for help to dig up a rusted and stuck drain cover in a near by side alley that had something hidden down it for several years that was "his now"... He'd been into neighbouring shops too, and shortly after the cops came and reportedly took away the guy... who was using an axe to dig up the drain cover..... Also... I drew some strange looks when I pulled up in a servo to fill up... and thought I'd open the boot to check on some dry Ice I had in there in a box... and wafts of "smoke" came out!!
Another shooting in town a few days back. Guy lived this time, so the 3 month tally is 3 murders and one injured. Actually, the 3 murders were by knives now that I think about it. Guns are unusual.
yeah, sounds like theyre going to have armed guards in your McDonalds there soon, just like in the US.
turned up to werk before midday. had a burger, only it was a LAMBurger, and it was made with yiros meat. got an interview for a j.o.b. paying more than double what i get now. 100m from my place was a major crash, 3 ambos, 2 firetrucks, some cop cars... like a big 3D-glasses disco. as i got there they were pulling... *something* out of one of the wreckages... not a big fan of gore so went home, opened a coldy and thanked satan that wasn't me this time.
"3 ambos, 2 firetrucks, some cop cars" so thats about 20 people sitting down for their tea tonight with that 'something' on their mind. its no wonder post traumatic stress is such an issue in the emergency services. i am a volunteer fireman and road accidents are without doubt the worst part of the job. next time you take the f-car for a thrash down the great ocean road please remember that if you push too hard i get my tea spoiled. i too had both an axeman and an iceman in my day. i just kept my head down and (so far) fixed my f-car's (wrong vowel at end though) intermittent chronic fuel starvation problem. zippety-doo-da-zippety-day........ Well I'm dropping the bike in for a major service today... also getting new tyres (I was going the Pilot Powers but told the Metzeler's TEC3??? are better?), new high-flow air filters, new headers and refitting high-flow muffler and adjusting mixtures to suit (on the dyno we go...) should end up with almost 200hp with ram air... now maybe, just maybe I'll get to ride it somewhere other than the commute to work... oh, and buying a new car on the weekend - need a five seater (no more than that) for when the kids visit so am off to test drive tomorrow. Looking at a 156, an e-class, an s60, a 5 series etc etc - all the normal continental crap
oh, the ZX12R... I *WISH* could get near 200bhp out of the TZ but I just don't think the chassis, brakes or rider would cope... Taking a little Cagiva Mito for a test ride tomorrow as well.. Looking for a bike for Vanessa but I think a VTR would probably be more practical
I drove the Qv 400kms yesterday and it never missed a beat except when I nearly ripped the Euro spoiler off going out a driveway !! That car hardly uses any fuel , must be something wrong, it gets close to 30mpg !! It keeps getting stronger as the day goes on, it absolutely loves longer distances and I even parked it in the Logan Hyperdome for 3 hours and not one scratch !!!
Jack the ripper is back.... Time to move 360C! get few of these for you and your garage 's protection.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
nothing really interesting today, washed my gf's car, never wash a car that dirty in my entire life.... got a call with some dude trying to sell me a mobile phone, and the guy say he was calling from St. Kilda, but i know he was calling from India because i told him i lived in Perth which is just 2 streets down from St. Kilda, and he admit that St. Kilda is just another 3 streets away from Alice Springs. I eventually gave him my name as Mike Hunt, and his reply was "Mr Mike Hunt, what a beautiful name."
Drove the 355 all through kinglake/healesville etcetc today. used lots of petrol. didn't break down. driving through winding roads with a cliff face on one side makes for a lot of smiling.
had a go of a new Monaro today, short drive but the amount of torque from a 245kw @rear wheel is something most V8 Ferrari drivers aren't use to and for $39k is great value for a 2 year old car. Unfortunately the police were out in force and the drive was short so will have to wait until trackday in a couple of weeks to see how it goes at QR
Never mind V8 or not... how many litres???? Now try a carb BB with only 5 or even 4.4 litres...... then consider the Ferrari is over 30 years old...
it was a mildly souped up 5.7 all alloy engine CV8, fully decked out , weighs over 1800kg but the sad thing is it still feels like the bottom of the range Holden. My mate has always loved Monaros and gave me major grief (and still does) about the 24hr race won by the "Mongrel", he keeps calling it a Monaro and rubs salt into the wounds by stating the Ferrari never even finished I have challenged him to a duel of 25 laps of QR ..... he won't finish, and if he does I will be so far ahead because he is nursing it to the end it won't be funny !!! I need to redeem some face for the horse crowd, I've always hated Holden for that MARKETING exercise fiasco. It is still a lot of car for under $40k and still has a year of warranty to go !! It also has a gorgeous sound as it burbles along The QV only sounds good when I push the pedal to the floor and the needle goes past 6000 revs
What did you do with the rusted and holed silencer BTW? Don't get me going about that fkn Mongrel imposter POS....
got it rebuilt here on the Coast, will get a new one later in the year when the wife is away for a few days
ha ha.. If that's what it takes!! My wife yells at me to go faster..... and we were already doing 180mph...
