I placed an order for a DVD on Monday, Dec. 20th, for an item listed as being "In-Stock". I elected for the 2-day shipping to ensure the item would arrive in time for Christmas. AFter the order was placed, the status quickly changed to "Sent to Warehouse". It still says that as of today (Dec.23). I am obviously not going to receive the item today, as I originally anticipated. I now find myself having to scramble to go out and get my wife a Christmas present.

I tried to call Customer Service yesterday, only to meet with a busy signal each and every time I made an attempt. I finally got through today. They told me that the item is now on "Back-Order". Geez, thanks for notifying me. Nothing was ever posted on the website about this, nor did I receive an e-mail notifying me of this.

What freaking bullsh*t! I am so p*ssed off right now!

Strange. Because I've had nothing but great great luck with buy.com. Ever since they were dvdexpress and merged over to buy.com - just great service.

I had good service with the previous 3 or 4 items I have bought from them in the past as well. This incident has now changed my view of them. I could have at least have been immediately informed when the item went on back-order. The only way I found this out is by being patient enough waiting to get through to customer service.

I dunno, a dvd can make a pretty good gift for a wife if it is romantic music, coupled with a dozen red roses, a bottle of nice wine, and a couple of Waterford wine glasses.

    That's the plan, right?
