Great video. Somehow I think I could stand the sound of that GTO at 8500 RPM, somehow. And what would there be to talk about in it anyway? My jaw would be thoroughly slack :D

Cool video. I wonder from a collector's point of view where the 355 will be in 30 years. Kids today would rather uber than learn to drive. They will embrace the driverless car. There are many pressures to end the internal combustion engine. I wonder what the classic car market will look like in 20 years.

My thoughts exactly! The rumblings on ending combustion engine production and mandates will only escalate as technology develops.

I believe this is the same as the PC twenty years ago.

Rare cars will retain their value as works of art and pieces of history.

As these cars age and more and more of these cars are written off the prices will gradually climb. Nowhere near the realm of a 250 GTO however.

ICE cars will probably die off like manual crank start cars have as the generations that found those things nostalgic die off...in my opinion of course. :)

    ^Not so sure.

How many people crank started their car and said, you know I really love doing that. Was that an enjoyable thing?

Maybe someone liked it but I bet there were more people that hated it, especially after a broken wrist.

I love driving my 59 Cadillac, near 60 years after it was made.

Will always love driving my F355.

If these things are worthless in 20 years it's really the best news for us. We can buy more of what we like and it will cost less to insure :)

^ I hear what you're saying...but I don't think the demographic of people that want these cars will grow into the next generation.

Why would you want to stop and get fuel? Oil changes? Maintenance!? and the emissions/environmental impact...etc. etc. Next generation will probably think all of this is silly.

Plug your weekend canyon carver into the outlet in your garage and beat on it as much as you want with little to no consequence to the drivetrain.

Classic cars are more effort than modern cars, but many people think they're worth the effort, for many reasons. Electric cars won't change that.

Only the other day, a boy who lives in my block of flats saw me working on the car in the garage. He turned to his mum and said, "Wow, look at that! It's a Ferrari!"

I don't think the young 'uns of today would say quite the same thing about a Tesla.
