Don't worry about the unhealthy rate, as long as your having fun collecting Hot Wheels. I enjoy shopping and searching for them more than actually owning them.

I was able to finally get a Speed Machines GT-R SpecV today. Now I'm waiting for the newer wave to come out to get the Cayman and green Reventon. I wonder if there are still any gray Reventons hanging around. Occasionally, I will find a car from an older mix that was not there a week before in a store. For example, I visited Walmart today and there was the Ferrari Enzo from the first wave, which I have never ever seen at that Walmart before. I'm just hoping the gray Reventon and California will pop up soon.

I've picked up 3 of the green Reventon's just because I know how hard the gray ones are to find. I'm still in search of another gray one as the person that bagged the one I'd found DESTROYED it, maybe some day I'll get another.

I have yet to see the California, Mitsubishi Evo MR, NSX, Veyron, Green Reventon, Corvette C6R, GT-R Spec V, 911 GTI, Scirocco GT24, Cayman, not that I'm interested on thee Speed Machines. I got my eye on the 599XX.
God is probably laughing at me right now saying " IN YOUR DREAMS " !! I just listed 10 Speed Machines that I've never seen hanging on the pegs here at our retail stores. What more...599XX! So far I've seen the Audi TTS, R8, Gallardo Polizia, Ugly Looking color blue Enzo in which if they only made this enzo RED in color it would have been much much sweeter. I don't know, but who the heck work on these Hotwheel color combo man?? Chinese, Taiwanese??? Oh made in Malaysia. C'mon Ferrari gotta be RED or at least YELLOW like the Carrera GT. Even the 599 GTB Fiorano is also blue. Just look at the 599XX, it's arrest me RED in color awesome.!! I just wish they'll make a Speed Machine Ferrari Enzo FXX version in RED. Or better yet this year they'll come up with Speed Machine 5 packs or even sweeter 10 packs. I can't even imagine how much would that cost??!! I just wish I work for Hotwheels. They pay me to throw in some ideas on how to target consumers. All you collectors will go nuts and probably go broke all the time to see what's hanging on the pegs at your nearest toy and retail stores.

The Enzo is a weird blue color, but the details are very good compared to the other Speed Machines cars. And I have seen a red one before on a Malaysian forum (they usually get cars before we do; in fact, the 599XX wave is already out there).

OH MAN OH MAN OH MAN......This is what I'm talking about. You already have what everyone here is waiting for. Every Speed Machine you've shown is a must have for collectors like us here in the U.S. You're good already for now. Lucky man! Until the next wave comes you're set. Very nice collection.

I'll take one car at a time. I guess before I even begin to dream of buying this Speed Machine McLaren F1 GTR ( that if they produce this crap ) I would wanna have the 599XX first. I just hope all these Speed Machine piece of crap cars we all buy and collect will be worth something after 30 or so years starting from today. Maybe now they are $2.95 each. 30 years later they will be worth $200 each if they are unopened.

Chances are, after 30 years, they will be worth significantly more than the $2-3 they are now. But not sure about $200.

Doesn't matter to me though. I open all my cars because I don't care about the value since I'm not going to sell them anyways.

I have collected Hot Wheels for about 30 years. Treasure hunts, chase cars, and htf variations will be the first to climb in price if any and probably in that order..
Collect them for the fun of the hobby because you will get more from doing that than anything else.

I am glad to know I am not the only one who does this. I sometimes feel guilty opening them, but theres nothing like enjoying a small car like a little kid!

How about buying two of each of you think is the best of them all so that one you can open, and the other one just for display. Say for example the Phils garage 288GTO. You buy two. You open one to play, and the other one you keep unopened for display.

I almost always buy 2. The GTO in the GS you mentioned has a chase and non chase so you could always open up the unsigned vari and stick the chase in a protecto.

DMC308 Can I take a look at the difference between a GTO Chase and Not Chase..! What's in the sign? And who signed it? Is it Phil who signed it? Is that why it's Phils Garage? Phil who? Phil Collins? Phil Jackson?

    Ferrari 575 GTC - silver
    Ferrari F355 Challenge - red

Is that a Teal colored Tesla I see in there blue62?
Now I see the difference on the 288GTO ApexOversteer. Chase vs.Non Chase is a white signature or simply an initial on the bottom of the car. Complicated Yo.! It made the car special because of that marking.

It's actually kind of a metallic blue, though kind of looks teal as well. Liked it more than the silver and the red ones they had

It wont take long. I promised myself I'd only buy chase cars for that series and so far I got 3 off the pegs.
