I found a pair of each of them at Target over the weekend! I never found more than the one A-Team van last year though.
Ok. Our very first Super Wal-Mart just opened on March 29,2012 about 10 miles away from my place. I woke up early for the grand opening and excited. After an early morning breakfast at Mickey D's I found a good spot for parking. Long story short I witnessed the cutting of the ribbon and all that bull$hit. I came in with the crowd. Huge Wal-mart!!! OMG!! Super clean, smells good, merchandise all full, neat, and tidy. I think I was the only one who walked straight to the Hotwheels Aisle. The racks were full ( OVERFLOWING ) with cars. To my disappointment I did not find a single F'n car that I was looking for. No silver FF, no silver Aventador, no white M3 GT2! NONE!
Yeah, the Trans Am is a very nice casting, and their choice of wheelsets was spot on too, great car. I'm also impressed with the Aussie Ford Falcon V8 Supercars racecar, very good modeling of the real car. I grabbed a few of the 2012 Easter '64 Corvettes, super nice paintjob, doesn't really look like a Holiday car, until you really look at it. Also grabbed a few new cars from the Boulevard series, the LeSabre Concept in Pink with orange and green flames, the Chrysler Turbine car in bronze and the Deuce Coupe in Yellow... all very very nice cars.
Took a chance at a Fred Meyers while out buying some car parts and hit the JACKPOT! Between a bin of fresh cars and a central display, found 2 treasure hunt ducatis, 6 treasure hunt '69 corvettes, 3 super hunt '67 mustang coupes, and 2 super hunt '67 chevelle's! After the first hunt they just kept coming and until these, have only ever found 2 hunts on the pegs so this made my day, week, and month!
13 Hunts in one bin? Wonder what the percentages on that would be. I came away from Wally's today with the Orange BMW 2002, the Silverblue Decades C6 ZR1, a bad ass Silver '64 Blown Chevelle, Camaro ZL1 in Blue... and they're back to 97¢, down from $1.07.
Now I do believe in that Rod Stewart song " Some Guys Have All The Luck " Still looking for a silver FF and the silver Aventador. Today I got bored so I went to Target to buy milk and bread. I got a positive attitude coming in thinking that I might find at least one new car. Walking towards where the Hotwheels were with my red basket and saw absolutely a big VOID on the wall. All I saw was an empty fixtures and price tags.!!!! Not a single hotwheel car hanging. WTH is going on nowadays. Happy Easter to all!
It's Easter. I know, as a kid, I used to get 30 or 40 Hot Wheels on Easter morning, to offset the Chocolate my fatass didn't need anyway. I'm sure a lot of that still goes on.
Happy Easter to all and happy hunting in the next couple of weeks as stores are sure to be restocking after the holiday shelf cleaning! Edit: Added pics for any non-believers
TODAY! White California today at Wallies along with Yellow Reventon Some Paint Error 62 Impalas and a few other my brain can't seem to remember Last weekend on my vacation A Black California with the FERRARI script on the front.
My quest for collecting hotwheels has deminished tremendously. But, I wish someday Hotwheels will make the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, and the McLaren MP4-12C in 1:64! Not that I'm gonna find them if ever they make em anyways. It''s just the thought of them making these two supercars is enough for me.
FYI - There is also a 5 Spoke Variation of this California.. I picked up 2 the other day, along with 2 more of the Progressive 5 Spoke.
Miracles do come true!!! After months of nothing, today I found the glory at the mall skateboard shop had some Hotwheels they were selling for $1.25 each: Who cares: - Knight Rider K.I.T.T - LP570-4 Superleggera ( dark blue with gold and white stripes ) - BMW Z4M ( white with red and blue stripes ) - Porsche 911GT2 ( blue ) - 2012 Camaro ZL1 ( yellow )
Nice! The stores around here are getting really far behind on the cases these days and seem to not be restocking as often either
I didn't even know that Hotwheels made a 1:64 Knight Rider. I gave up on our stores over here including Toys R'US, but this skateboard shop just happen to have some Hotwheels for sale so out of curiosity I stopped and looked they were right there staring at me some new cars I have never seen. WalMart, Target, and K-Mart died months and months ago of Hotwheels. It was a very good feeling seeing new Hotwheels cars in an unusual place. God knows I gave up, so he sent me a message of hope thru Chads aka ( blue62 ) sending me the Aventador, M3 GT2, and the silver FF. Now he led me to this skateboard shop who never really sold Hotwheels before, but that day they did. Thanks Chad!
Picked up a few recently on a n emergency road trip to Wyoming. I found the newest Baggy Mystery Cars I wanted. Easier to see what's in them now that there is a small clear window to actually see what's in the baggy. Here is what I found - White Lamborghini Estoque Pink Astro Funk - Ed "Big Daddy" Roth car Silver '68 Copo Camaro Dark Red Camaro Convertible Gold '68 El Camino Regular Finds - Dark Blue Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera NM Eagle Massa - Designed by Felipe Massa Then today at Target I found Yellow Ford Shelby GR-1 Concept - Treasure Hunt
I just picked up a yellow Porsche 917 at Walmart today, they had a white BMW M1 too. I'm going back on Sunday for that one.
