First...thanks to all you guys for the insight on how to buy my first Fcar! I think I got a beauty. 1978 Fly yellow 308 GTS. Had a PPI done by Bill Pollard of Sport Auto in Connecticut, and he was very unbiased, honest, and a pleasure to deal with. He told me everything he liked, and everything he hated. He is obviously VERY passionate about all things Ferrari! I send him many thanks- for the great work, and all the "tips" before sending me on my way. I had him do some work before I drove it the 750 miles back to Charlotte.(All new fuel hoses just to be safe, rotors turned, fuses, carbs tuned, new shocks, and a few other things). It just had the belts replaced also. Odometer showed 28,200 when I picked it up..... the minimal wear seems to show that it is accurate according to Bill. Car drives like a dream! What a blast! It was the first time I ever even sat in a Ferrari before! I will post some pics of my new baby as soon as I get a chance. This one pic was taken not long after I left the shop.... foggy and rainy, but still a great drive!
The best part of the whole trip was stopping for the night in Harrisburg, PA. There was a Corvette meet going on somewhere nearby I guess. The hotel parking lot had at least 40 Corvettes and 1 Ferrari that night....I felt safe. The next morning a gentleman in what looked like a brand new model stopped me to tell me what a nice car I had! That just made my day!

Congrats on the new car. Funny I was in Penn last Friday also. I bought a 924 race car I was picking up near Philly. All those Corvettes were cool actually the meet was in Carlisle which is where I was lucky enough to find a room. Every second car on the street there was vette.

You drove right into Corvettes at Carlisle. Probably the largest gathering of old and new Corvettes in North America every summer. My son has been on a cross-country trip this summer and drove right into Sturgis, Montana in the middle of Bike Week. He and his friend were worried for a while, until they realized it was mostly businessmen in their 40's and 50's who were just dressed like bikers. Same thing is true for the Corvette crowd these day (yours truly included... LOL).

Congrats on the new ride. Enjoy!
