The seller spoke not a word of English..
We wanted to do a tt transfer, but he wanted cash.
Then his bank thought it might not be able to receive the cash
despite us having a clear trail of the money being withdrawn from
    our uk bank.
It took over an hour for them to accept the money.
Had a car transporter waiting from 11 am to take car away, once it had been paid for, with
a driver who was quite impatient and wanted to go home.
Finally managed to load it at 5pm..
    Anyway.. All done now..
Looking forward to reviving the car in the next week or 2.
    Same owner for 12 years..
Car is in reasonably good condition and drives very well.

    No, but anything's possible.

Do the bolsters show the same amount of wear as the seat centers?

Yes...similar amount of wear,so I suppose installed same time..
But then again it's a 30 year old car,so who knows...
Car due in uk week after next so will look into it further then.

I am looking for a similar car.

Can you give me a ball park figure for what you paid?

    Cheers

I could be wrong but the marker lights (especially the rear ones), and rear bumper look more like US spec than Euro!

    It's definately a euro car..
    Cost €37k

I first saw car about 3 months ago ,after many failed attempts of communication
with the owner, who I felt was blowing hot and cold about selling the car.
Very happy with the price I paid..

Looks like a euro car that may have "federalized" for use in the US at one point. That is not the standard euro rear bumper, and the rear quarter marker lights aren't there on a euro QV that hasn't been federalized.

This doesn't detract from the car at all, and can easily be rectified. It's a great looking car at a good price.

Bumper did raise an eyebrow with me initially but chassis number definately
    came through as euro.
Owner has had it for 12 years.
In the little communication that I managed he swears blind it's all original paint
and car has never had a knock.
    Not in his ownership anyway.
Happy with price.. I live in london and have been watching auction results with disbelieve.
Have always had an extremely large soft spot for the 308 gtb and realised that if it didn't happen now,it never would.
Anyway long story short I now own a 1976 us spec gtb, chassis 19509,which I chanced upon
whilst on holiday in Los Angeles in June and now this qv.
The first of the series and also the last of the series..
Can't wait to get pictures of both of them together..
    Paul
