    Like you I have a 348.
I watch it every night in the garage for at least 10 minutes as I drive only in the weekends.
They started to build it in 89, so 17 years ago. Put an other brand of car of 89 next to it and you know what I mean.

By the way.... is that your neighbourhood ??? Wow....

John, as a fellow 348 owner from just up the road from you in the Metroplex, I agree whole heartedly with your comments. However, I would add one thought. Idiots like the Mustang driver are a valid reason to get a CHL and carry when you are out in the Ferrari. As several will point out, you can out run most trouble, but traffic and circumstances may box you in and you need another option. Good luck and welcome to the brotherhood. Hopefully we will see you at the various events staged throughout the Metroplex.

Congratulations on your car- it looks beautiful!

Don't mind people like that mustang guy- his mother/father/girlfriend/wife/kids should be embarrassed.

Your sentiments are exactly like mine when I first bought my 348.
I couldn't stop (and still do) going to my garage to look at it and reassure myself that I own it. I've never driven a car (and I've owned a few) that exudes such attention from the public, from kids to adults. Everyone, and I mean everyone, stares at my 348 when its on the road. Its a bit embarrasing sometimes, especially if you want to keep a low profile. I often wonder why movie stars and celebrities drive around in exotic cars like Ferraris and then complain when they are noticed by the public or papparazi. If you don't want to be noticed - don't buy a Ferrari.

Came across a kid in a red Trans Am yesterday.....Loud exhaust, driving fast...etc....

He sees me, slows down until I get on side of him. At this point, I'm thinking: "here we go again".....Much to my delight, he looks over with a huge smile, gives me the thumbs up and says: "AWESOME!"

    made my day ;)

It does, doesnt it? People admiring your car on the road is cool. :) Better than punks pulling up beside ya,thinking they are big time wanting to race you. :)

I never park my 348 and go into anywhere. Has anyone had their car 'keyed' or otherwise messed with? One time I was cruising thru a park n some hippy yelled "you're ruining the enviroment, you should be ashamed!" Geez. I am ashamed...I haven't upgraded the wheels, slotted rotors n Hawk pads n epoxied red calipers. <hanging head...

I am ashamed that you didnt get out of your car and beat his hippy ass  hehe Nah,but no one has messed with my car so to speak. But i typically try to avoid parking the car anywhere without being in close proximity to keep an eye on it :)

I agree, I live by Woodstock, NY. Hippy capitol, I have been called a few names because of my 348 spyder. My plan is simple. They sit in the same square (park) every nite smoking pot and stinking of petrully, I will drive up in stealth mode (f350 crew cab) and spray them down with soap water.

    hello,

althou i like the ferrari 348 design a lot, i would have to say the 1989 lotus esprit turbo s.e. was the most stunning design if it's time.

    just my opinion.

    Hi John
Welcome to the 348 brotherhood, let me tell u, this is my 3rd Ferrari and wont be my last. and so far my 93 Ts 348 is the best looking, road hugging sex on wheels ive ever owned. Sure u get the loser, 1 out of every 1000, but the other 999 will drop dead in their tracks when they see u driving, or just look like they have found nirvana when your parked. A few weeks ago on a four day drive with the Ferrari club in Sydney we stopped off at an ocean lookout point and there was this guy must have been aged about 35 with his 8 year old daughter. imagine 17 various ferraris from 275 to dinos all in a car spot. As his camera flashed wildly over my car I asked him if he would like to take a photo of his daughter behind the wheel. Well let me tell u, i made that guys year and thats one less jealous person out there. He was so suprsied that at the end of the day we wern't a bunch of pretenious jerks, just lovers of the world best car. enjoy the ride, the looks and buzz u get everytime it starts.
    Andrew

    One thing ive learn

Shhhhh...I've got some chrome mounted behind the black grill vents. Just a little aesthetic experiment at the moment.
