That's a beautiful 348. Congrats! The only wheels that should go on the car IMHO are OEM challenge wheels from Speedline.
This is my 348SS before I sold it last Nov. I had some billet 3 pieces form Image installed. Good luck, you will really enjoy the car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dump the stock wheels and replace with 355 wheels or Challenge wheels if your budget allows. From a practical standpoint, you will find performance much better and many more replacement tire options. I will only return the stock wheels to my car when I sell it - IF. Welcome to the the SS subchapter of the 348 Brotherhood, even if you have a Series II car.
I'm trying to keep track of the SS cars. Could you provide your Serial Number to validate my data. Did you get that car from Arkansas? I installed 19" aftermarket wheels with 30 series rubber on the rear that look amazing on the car but lack the right touch. Wish I had done 18's. More sneaker choices and a bit lighter on the Arse. Especialy harsh with the Kevlar SS seats. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Thanks for the kind words, yes this was ffrom Arkansas via a North Carolina dealer. Serial # ZffRG36A5R0098736. Love the look of those 19" wheels and that is the look I am after. Can I get those same wheels in the 18's? and is it a straight swap? Can't wait for it to arrive. Michael
Mike - Where in Mass? Would you be interested in joining us some Sunday at our gathering in Glastonbury CT? See the "2010 Ongoing Connecticut gathering" thread in the NE section. A couple of 348's with differant wheel/tire combos for you to witness and a great group of guys.
I am 15 minutes north of Boston, sundays are tough in the summer as I am out fishing ! I will make it one of these days where do you meet ?
See my thread in NE section...post 1 is a map with directions. Kind of a long jaunt for a day trip but if you hook up with some fellow chatters might be fun. We do day trips and cruises on occassion, watch the thread for details. We have a few Big Deals planned including AVF for our banquet and Foxwoods w/ super car road trips dot com.
Okay how come it just looks like a regular 348 that someone removed the rear grill and put on the SS light fixture? No front lip, not SS seats, and no SS badging on the rear deck lid either. What gives?
