My new [to me] Ferrari 360 was rolled off the truck on Thursday and I immediately drove it into the garage and turned the battery disconnect switch to off.

This morning, wanting to take some photo of the car, I went out to the garage turned the disconnect switch back to on and heard a beep, got in the car stuck the key in the ignition and all the electronics came to life. When I turned the key to fire the engine nothing happened. I didn't even hear the starter hum or buzz.

Thoughts, ideas? Will hooking it up to a trickle charger make a difference? Is jumping the car to be avoided at all costs? Thanks – this is my first Ferrari and I've got to say I'm a bit worried right now...

By the way, I live in Michigan and the temps have been below freezing since it arrived.

Did you press the fob button and listen for a double beep?

Yep, first thing... did you press the fob, second foot on the brake.
Common new owner mistakes until you get use to the procedure.

You're welcome. Best of luck with your 360. Why are you turning kill switch off? If you do, you must reprogram car using proper procedure each time (turn kill switch back on, turn key to ignition on, start car, let run for a while to reset settings, reset radio). What a pain. Just use a trickle charger (hopefully already wired). Do not jump start!!!

Glad to hear it was something simple and not a short. Enjoy your new car!

I had the same problem with my 360.

Another common issue is that the F1 trans goes into neutral by itself after a few seconds if you don't hold the brake firmaly i.e. at a stop light.

Where are you at it Michigan? I am in SE Michigan.

You may want to check out the North Central thread; that is where we post our events and drives

Door open? Close it and see if that works.

Goopie - I just moved into a new house and haven't located my trickle chargers yet... I'd love to use them but they're somewhere, buried in cardboard. Once I find 'em...

Vincep99 - I'm near AA, I'll definitely check out the thread, I can't wait to start driving.

    Thanks again, guys!

Great! Our drives go just north of AA, usually include North Territorial Road, often going to Chelsea.
