After 3 years of searching for the right 360 I finally purchased one. I was fussy and patient. It's a 2003 red manual with crema interior, challenge wheels, bars and grills and 35000Km. It's in great condition and drives well and the engine feels strong. The sound is great also from the tubi exhaust. The only thing I noticed is I get the engine light occasionally. I scanned with an obd2 and got the filling code. DTC 01 I/m no Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will try to upload some photos. (Sometimes doesn't work) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yea I got wheel envy also. Congrats on the new ride, worth every minute of waiting and planing. In my professional opinion. I know what the problem is. Someone has moved a vital part to the wrong area. DTC = Dextro Tire Control - the steering wheel's been moved to the right side of the car! Just my poor attempt at humor. I am not a pro but I am use to Pxxxx codes. Is this a P0001? - I think that's an unusual code. Is there a Pxxxx code? Actually this is my second Ferrari. I've had a 78 dry sump carb 308GTB red / tan since 2002 which I couldn't bring myself to part with. Just wanted something newer and have wanted a 360 for a long time. Regarding the code I see from the link what you mean. I will check it again and post some pics of the scan tool. Came withe car so not sure on the quality or exactly how to use all the functions.
Below is the scan tool that came with the car. Not sure about quality. The code it gave is as stated above, DTC 01. Any thoughts regarding tool or code is appreciated. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Found a user manual on line. The info I thought was a code was only a message telling me that there was 1 DTC recorded. Now I need to wait until light appears again as I erased the code.
Like so many others here I use the ELM 327 BT and I paid $20 for the premium usage. That allows me to see stored DTC's as well incase I inadvertently erased a code.
Congrats! Those are the ONLY wheels to have on a 360 IMHO Here is the OBDII code list. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congrats on the new toy! I was also interested in it but you sure snapped it up quick smart! I hope the code is an easy fix and you can get on with enjoying it
Hi Marshall Yes I was lucky it was only 20 minutes from my home. Unbelievable, after 3 years of searching the car I was looking for feel into my lap. The previous owner did tell me about the engine light but I wasn't too concerned as the car is immaculate throughout, drives well and the gearbox feels great. I figured every car is going to have something, so I couldn't really say no. Will post solution once I have it.
Thanks to Raimondo for the link and to Dave for the PDF. Im taking the car out tomorrow, if the light comes on I'll check the codes and go from there. Thanks Phill
Congrats on a beautiful car ! I love the lines of the 360, and a 3 pedal as well ! Great choice and best wishes. JGW
The light is due to the sports exhaust. It makes the cat and exhaust run hotter. The thermocouple just after the cat senses this and turns on the light. Spoke to the owner at the service centre that has been servicing the car for the previous owner and this is the reason. Some cars are more sensitive than others apparently. So all good!
I don't know if it's correct or not. He said Lambos are very sensitive to this. Car runs perfect and everything works. Have not had the light again but will pull code if / when it returns. Will be interesting to know.
