Hello there, my first posting on here, fresh from PistonHeads.

Yesterday, I got a call from my local dealer that a slot had become available for June (this year) for an F1 Coupe if I could spec the car within an hour!

I managed to do this (sorry, red with crema....boring) but I had a couple of questions for you all and they are slightly embarrassing, but I've heard you are a friendly bunch.

With the F1 gearbox, do I have to lift off the throttle, flip the paddle and get back on the gas?

Do I need to select neutral every time I stop to avoid killing the clutch? I know this was the deal with the 360 but wanted to know the score with the 430?

I've never had an F1 style gearbox before and would appreciate your thoughts - sorry if they seem obvious but if you don't ask, you don't know!

I'm really looking forward to getting the car (I never felt like this about the gallardo I bought - theres just something about a Ferrari...)

No lifting off the gas. N is not necessary but why not? The F1 is fantastic!

Consider colored stitching as it will liven up the crema color. Congrats!!

I've gone for red stitching on seats and the dash - I agree, it breaks up the crema nicely - so I just keep my foot buried and whip through the gears! Sounds good.

No need to put the car in neutral when stopped. The owner manual instructs you to keep your foot on the throttle when switiching gears. You will love the F1.:)

wow - I would have thought I'd need to lift off to allow the clutch to engage but you've got me really looking forward to June now.

drive the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it won't hurt it.you will love it especially if you track it -f1 allows you to concentrate more when tracking in my opinion-don't let it become a garage queen.!!!!!!!!!!!!! have fun with it van
