Though it is to late for me (I'm May build) starting in June there will be a rear challenge Carbon Fiber Grill option. I think it is around $2400.00. I have no pictures but Hey Valence, sounds like it would be very easy to make.

This carbon fibre rear grill was already on the preliminary options list I got way before the 430 was even presented. So it took nearly two years, since we see this option in flesh. I wonder how it looks like...

BTW, some other options of this options list we haven't seen yet:
    - carbon kit exterior
    - sports exhaust
    - challenge grill front
    - challenge grill rear
    - two-colour-rims

If I was F and I could get people to pay $2,400 for CF in that little area then why not?

I looked at pics of the actual Challenge car, and I think the rear Challenge grid on it looks hideous. I would never put that on the street version.

I guess it did and I wonder how long it will be before we see the rest of the stuff.

I think Ferrari can make more money on the CF options than on the car itself!

Yeah, but aren't you the guy constantly trying to convince me to get an orange or pearl white Ferrari? :D

I cannot imagine what a sport exhaust would sound like. The stock exhaust is borderline too loud.

Where would the challenge grill go in the front? The only thing I can envision is the entire airduct opening is grill and not metal and grill. If that is the case then it would be a good idea to have it because the metal chips from road debris. I have a few nicks and was told by detailers and my dealership I would not be happy with the result if I tried to get them painted over.

Two color rims sound very interesting. I would love to see what they look like.

Interesting, does this replace the mesh rear grille?

I've heard that Ferrari was considering a sport exhaust on the 430 and finally decided to make it standard. Only rumor, but the size of the muffler (about the size of a Tubi or Cparisto 360 unit) makes it believable.

May be true. As I said, it was a preliminary options list.

If Ferrari really decided that way, I really appreciate it because it makes me think they listen to their customer's wishes (especially after the relatively boring sounding 360 stock exhaust).

    What you think; in 430 for the rear challenge grill you have to change the rear bumper;;

Not for the street car. It'd be the little black metal grill that they'd change out. Can't really picture that for $2,400.

We don't have a picture yet, but after a few months of tool-building, we're about to unveil our own diffuser. Stay tuned...

Since this was an preliminary options list, I think it needs to be considered relative to the 360 in put it in context. I think the "Challenge mesh grille" is referring to the 360 style option which is actually standard on the 430 in the rear, but was not applied on the nose as it was offered on the 360. I don't think it is referring to the new 430 Challenge styling which would require a different bumper.

The Carbon Fiber grill option that Carnut referred to in the original post is a new one for me. I have a June build so I'll definitely be inquiring about this one. I wish F would offer the exterior trim around the engine bay glass in CF though. Seems kind of silly if you purchase the engine bay CF option and you don't do the deck lid to match.

I like the Challenge rear grill idea. Will help to visually reduce the size of that enormous rear end!
