Thanks once again for your encouraging comments - I can’t wait for the weather here in the UK to improve enough for me to go for a decent drive - I was in Asia when the car was delivered and it is in such great condition I don’t want to get it dirty now they have started salting the roads!!! As someone pointed out the wheel is on the”wrong” side for the UK but I intend using it for forays into Europe and thus its not a problem - if it were an everyday car then maybe an issue but not for how I intend using it.....

David- I drove RHD and LHD cars interchangeably when I was stationed twice at RAF Lakenheath. Will not give you any problems. Sometimes easier to stay close to the edge of the road with LHD.

Well its been a few months now and what a few months!!!! - I took the 550 to a local specialist who has sorted my sticky switches etc, changed the cam belts, upgraded the engine mounts to 575 variants, fitted a preventive collar to the front shocks to stop the motors pulling their wires out and fitted a new throttle cable as the original was delaminating...... all in all a very satisfactory and value for money service and the cabin is a much more civilised place to be!!!
However it was the drive home that was the best...(especially since lockdown)....empty roads I avoided the Motorway and enjoyed the flowing country roads in the sunshine. I'm smitten... so glad I took the plunge and can't wait to be able to take a road trip through France once we get the all clear to travel.
