I just purchased a 97 550. I had a few questions for the experts out there. Is there any benifit to installing K and N filters?

I love the look of the Fender shields. I see them for sale on ebay and other places all the time. Is there a standard I should look for or any trick to installing them?

I would also like to buy some floor mats with the Ferrari emblem. Does anyone know where the best place to get these are?

    Thanks for any help!
    Regards

if you order the shields with the car, the quarter panel is stamped (i asume that's what they do) to indent it to take a nice enamel-type shield. it's very nicely done. the aftermarket stuff is just magnets or stickers. they look substantially chintzy IMHO and i'd just avoid it. but YMMV.

the keith collins mats are generally considered the nicest out there. though some folks have complained they fall apart rather quickly. very expensive. artexture.com? you can find info in the archives.

no data on K&N filters. follow "stephens" recent posts - he's doing all sorts of fun stuff with his '00.

    enjoy!

I got a very nice set of floor mats for my 360 from Ferrari of Central Florida.
They are tan with burgundy piping and a burgundy stallion. They fit absolutley perfect, and look terrific. They didn't take long to get. They can do a variety of colour and emblem options.

456: will they do prancing horse, etc. or not due to infringement?

I know Keith Collins has stopped doing mats due to such issues. Or so it is said.

Mine have are saddle with a black FERRARI logo in the midde. I believe when I ordered them, the horse was an option. Also the price I paid was aq few dollars less than the web price.

I'll call them tomorrow. Ideally I'd like black ones with the full shield logo.
