Hey guys, I just bought A 575 2 days ago. Anyways I tried calling Ferrari of Houston yesterday to talk to someone there, they took my info down and never called me back so I guess I'll look for an independent shop. Anyways the car I just bought is being shipped to me on wed or thursday(how long does that take bc they started on it yesterday), its in florida. They're doing a major service on it right now before shipping it: belts, fluids.

1.The dealer I bought it from told me it probably needs nothing but annual oil changes once the major is done. Is this true?

2.The clutch was done 3000 miles ago, he says it should last 15-20k more, is this true as well?

    3. Are there any types of extended warranties out there for a car like this?

    4. What's the service schedule for the car for other things besides the major every 5 years?

    5. Anything else I should look out for?

I wanted to go with the Ferrari Dealer but if they're too busy to call someone back, I cant imagine what they're like when they actually have your car. Im a business owner myself and I'll find time to personally call someone back if they're gonna be spending alot with me haha, guess they make too much over there and dont care. Anyways, looking forward to any recommendations.

Call FoH back and speak with Andy Anderson. Andy is an awesome guy. They are very busy so you might need to give him 24/48 hours.

Your post is funny coz my dad says the same thing when he doesn't get a call back within an hour "they never called me back" :)

I believe in a 24 hour or less response time but you need to give someone at least 1 business day.

I've passed by this independent shop for years and it's always been packed with a variety of european cars and exotics. Worth speaking with perhaps. It's in Cypress.

Thanks for that F355F1, I actually live in West University so thats a bit far for me but I'll keep them in mind, was definitely hoping for something closer.

Dave Rocks, your dad is right. I own a pretty large business, around 65 employees. If someone is looking to give me a decent amount of money, believe you me if someone that works for me doesn't find a way to get that money immediately, they aren't working for me anymore. I called in yesterday at 3 and they took my number and said he'll call you in a few minutes, so no 24 hours is a bit much. If they're that busy, then how about hiring another service advisor if what they have isn't enough?

Perhaps my number got lost between the receptionist and service advisor but still, not a good first impression. I've got a rolls royce dawn and post oak motors never once ignored me, they always have someone to talk to right away

Anyways, back to the most important thing, how long does the 575 major take to complete haha, Im a grown man but yet like a kid before christmas waiting for this car. I have wanted a red/tan 575 for as long as I can remember just never found the right one like I wanted.

Ok just got a call from Andy, you are correct, very nice guy. I tried to edit the earlier post and couldn't. You can delete this thread if you like.

While my business is not 65 people, I'm a mechanical engineer and Sticky RX is a division of my 20+ engineering and contract manufacturing company. We have somewhere around 200 vendors and let me tell you, it's a huge PITA. We issue PO's with the statement "Please process and confirm PO XXX". We are now bolding "Confirm" and making the font 5 times the size of the other words. Guess what? After days I need to ask again for a confirmation. And, getting them to meet the required delivery date is another challenge. Before you say it, I've dropped many vendors over this but the ones that remain are good and needed so I bite my tongue.

I 100% subscribe to repaid response. I take calls all hours of the day, weekends and holidays. If I don't return a call within hours it's because I did not receive it, or was on a plane or something. The people on this forum I've dealt with would confirm this. So, I get it.

All of that said, I think 3 PM call on a Friday and then stating on Saturday morning "They never called me back" is a bit quick to the draw.....

Here is what I know - Andy Anderson is incredibly responsive and all around the best - I mean the best! He is a super guy to deal with. I'm not sure your call was sent to him or not but if you want to call him again (ask for him), I'm sure he will take great care of you. I sent him a text this morning giving him a heads up. If I can help you, let me know. I do a ton of business with FoH and they are a stand up organization that really cares about their customers.

EDIT - I was writing this post as your other came in - glad to see you connected with Andy :)
