Took delivery of a new car not long ago and was looking at installers all over the country to find someone who could do a really great job with a clear shield installation. I am a bit obsessive:) Research and referrals indicated that the Venture product was more clear, had no orange peel, and edges that were almost invisible. I was just about to let a vendor from my dealer do the install when one of my employees suggested an installer who had done great work and used Venture products. He did the job and it is excellent. I have another car with the 3M product on it and the Venture product is several grades better in my opinion and this installation was flawless. Most people don't even see the shield on the car. If you have the need I would highly recomend this guy: Peter Hicks at Solar View, [email protected], 919.524.1154. He's based in Raleigh.

My new car is Gregio Ingrid (or simply silver) so you may have a legitmate concern about the dark color. My 360 is black and the 3M product is definitely more noticeable on it. I am confident though that the Venture product is more clear and lacks the orange peel that the 3M has. You might ask Peter to install a panel and let you have a look before you do the entire job. You are also welcome to see my car if that would help. My guess is that you'd be happy with the install on your car even with the dark blue color but of course it is your call.
