    Hi,
I wanted to introduce myself and find out if there are any other GT4s in the Austin area. I just took delivery of my eBay purchased 76 308 GT4 yesterday. It's in pretty good shape considering what I paid and I've already started ordering parts and planning out the service it needs. The car's PO passed away in 2007 and it's pretty much set in the garage for 6 years. Cobweb removal is actually on my list of to do :) I've found these forums invaluable for information for those of us doing our own service. I was hoping to meet and talk to any other regional owners who know about the GT4 or 308 engine in general.

Right now, for example, I'm dealing with the lack of a key for the door locks. I found Steve's Lock Shoppe over in Huntsville through the forums and he's already messaged me back. So seems like there are great resources right in state depending on the issue.

PM me if you like to share contact information. I'm also always willing to lend a hand. Between this car and the restoration on my wife's 67 Mustang, I have permanent cars on the brain syndrome. Anyway, I'm excited about being a first time owner and looking forward to be part of the TX group.

I have original keys for the 1976 cars, let me get you the number of the key blank, or you may have it??

Ilco is a common substitute for the crazy expensive Neiman.

I got three sets of Neimans with one of my cars....Welcome!

Moorespeed is da' Man in the Capitol City.

    Hi BigTex,
I do not have the numbers for the 76 blanks as my ignition key is just a copy and no note in the owners manual or WSM. I have one broken hinge key and that's about it. If you can let me know, that'd be great.

I happened to give a call over to Moorespeed one evening last week and David picked up. We had a nice chat and I'm working on getting over there to have him look at the car and give some opinion on what to tackle first.

    Thanks!
    Russell

    Russell,

Congratulations on finding your Ferrari. They are a collectors item and fun to drive at the same time. I am sure it will be a great relationship.

F-chat is a great resource for help and information.

    Enjoy
