Well, of course not a real one. And I haven't seen pictures of the replica to see how authentic it looks but in the publicity stills of Scott Eastwood with the Bugatti Atlantic replica, that looks spot on....

One usual thing in the publicity for this film, OVERDRIVE, released May 2017 is the horizontal movie poster. Never seen one that shape.
How would you show it at a theatre where all the frames for posters are vertical? Here's what I wrote on a website announcing the film:-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    “FAST AND FURIOUS” WITH BUGATTIS?

Not quite. But it is a movie, titled OVERDRIVE, billed as being written by some Fast & Furious screenwriters.

And it does have an Eastwood in it. Scott, Clint’s son, sporting a sort of frozen mini Dirty Harry expression throughout,, though he has a British co-star , Freddie Thorp, (supposed to be his half brother) who has a zillion expressions.

The plot is oh-so-familiar-- two guys are hired to steal some cars, open the warehouse full of treasure, yadda yadda.

Only in this case it’s interesting cars like a prewar Bugatti Atlantic and a 250GTO. Replicas of course, because last time I looked GTOs were hovering around $52 million.

Jon Lui, reviewing the film in the Straits Times said;”The speed indicator goes from zero to, well, not much higher than that in this Euro-clone that blends the car porn of Gone In 60 Seconds (2000) with the multi-vehicle stunt action of the Fast And Furious series.”

Lui wrote: “There are several solid car chases, but there is just too much patience-testing nonsense in between, in the form of lazy national stereotypes, groan-worthy dialogue, bad jokes and contrived plot twists.”

Hey, Johnny boy, don’t you understand us car guys? We don’t care about all that. We just want an excuse to see great classics driven full-tilt boogie on cliffside roads…..
