I am looking up the Shah's history of cars, and in one story on the net (which I can't find now,) they had a reproduction of a French magazine's multi page spread showing the cars in the Museum, now a foundation. The one I am asking about is a Chrysler car I have never seen before--a bronze car that looks a little like a Dual Ghia prototype done some years before the Ghias. In an English article they describe it as so: (article by Shah's By Behzad Farsian in The Telegraph 07 Oct 2004)

"Their exhibits include a 1950s bronze C30 Chrysler coupe prototype bought by the Shah for his second wife, Soraya Esfandiary, at the Geneva motor show. It has a pure gold dashboard, refrigerator, record player and air conditioning."

I never heard the phrase C30. Was this car a show car in America first? I know that the Shah also owned the Plymouth XNR show car at some point. I think Soraya was his third wife, but then I'm not researching the wives, only the cars.

I dug through some old magazines but didn't find anything. I was thinking of a Ghia- Cadillac circa 1953...

The Shah had more than one early '50's Chrysler concept car. Google "Chrysler Ghia concept car", you will come up with a couple of different cars. One was a '52, another was a '56, and maybe last was the bronze '57, which was the Empresses' car. (not the nicest looking tho)
The progenitor of them all was the "Thomas Special", one of which is on the block at the RM/Don Davis auction. It's beautiful......
