....does the air get into it? I have a M2.7 1995 355.... It has the early electric air pump with a seperate canister as an air filter....the original canister has an opening in the bottom i presume to let the air get in. The replacement air filter's part no....70000967...on page 8. The new canister fits in the original securing strap just fine and its connector on top is the same as the original so the connecting hose that attaches it to the electric air pump fits just fine...but...there's no opening in the cannister...it is a sealed white can! So how does the air get in to be filtered and then pumped through to heat the cats up! Am i missing something? Have Ferrari forgotten to specify how this very rarely bought spare should be made (the filter should be changed every 50,000 miles and in 1996 approx the pump incorporated the filter material on top of its casing) so there can't be many of these filters bought. Any thoughts anyone...i don't want to start up the car if this filter denies air to the pump.
