    Just got a brochure on the new Alfa 159 last week, had a little flick through and was delighted to see an Italian car with some real torque for about £20k. After seeing it at Goodwood I thought I’d like to see what a 3.2 V6 family saloon drove like, the styling is slick and after sitting in it at Goodwood I found acres of space inside despite it looking so much smaller on the outside, a new dash has been put in, I especially like the way it wrapped around the driver, quite like a pilots cockpit.

    Can't wait to test drive one in December. Has anyone else seen it yet?

    Very nice! And for under 30k!? Sign me up I want one!!!! Problem is where the hell to buy one or get it worked on? I can't seem to find anything online about US sales (and even if it is in the US I doubt in Idaho) :(

    We in the States won't be getting it anytime soon. Sad really. If they offered a 250hp+ version with decent fuel economy for around 30k here in the US, it would be my Daily driver.

    Alfa is serious this time to return to the States in 2007 (when their entire line-up would be updated on GM/opel platforms.)

    Provisional models are 159, GT, 169(Still up in the air), 149(coming in Europe end 2006), brera/brera spider, Kamal 4/4, maybe the QX4 wagon. Possibilty of a 8c Competizione production too.

    I used to live in Chicago a short while ago and tried to import one, i emailed Alfa and they gave me details of a dealership in the UK who deals with exports, this is the address;

    Mike Crowther
    Mangoletsi Ltd
    London Road,
    Knutsford,
    Cheshire,
    WA16 9NS

    They were fairly helpful but in the end i started work in the UK so should (fingers crossed!) be getting one at the end of the year. I think i have their number if you would like it?

    As long as they make it here by 08 I'm game! Not interested enough to import though.

    No problem, your local GM dealer will be able to fix the engine ... as it is a GM engine!!! ... and made in Australia for Alfa Romeo in Adelaide.

    Amazing I never thought I would see the day when an Alfa Romeo had an Australian/US engine in it!
