http://www.evo.co.uk/news/evonews/248887/new_mercedes_amg_v8.html Interesting, I guess everybody missed the low end kick of the 5.5 Supercharged motors. Well it is back in two guises. Frankly, I have driven both the old 5.5 and new 6.3 and much prefer the low end grunt of the old cars.
Apparently it will start with the "S" Class replacement and get to the rest of the line later. I guess they are doing what BMW is doing and taking the Displacement x Forced Induction to come up with the 6.3. Actually the new block is based on the 4.6 from the GL Series SUV.
