Well post up the VIN and see if someone with CARFAX can help out..

Bizarre behavior on the part of the Seller, as standard advice here will be "funny games....walk away" ..

Big glut of cars in the market right now, they should offer you a date with the receptionist, to buy the car....;)

    What he said.

Hopefully you're dealing with a reputable seller. Too easy to get hurt buying used Ferraris from the random used car lot.

You can run a Carfax yourself if you have the VIN. That's usually a good start for modern cars. Usually a dealer will just show that to you - no deposit, no begging, etc.

We have Regional Sections here, go down to the Florida one and see what the chatters there have to say...

Some lease companies are better than others, and Florida sees a lot of these cars put into the "vacation/entertainment" market so it's not necessarily the same as the ones in other locales...

Note the TOTAL lack of excitementon that eBay auction Randy found.......it's a Buyer's Market be real picky.
No idea if that's a good price or not.

You can get a read on that in the 360/430 Specific Model Section!

Not only what Tex said, but if this is the first one you found, keep looking. If it is meant to be, it will still be available.

If you do a search and read a few threads you will find that they generally have a bad reputation... usually the specifics are lacking. Anyhow, do the search and if you still want to buy go for it, just make sure its a deal that you are comfortable with.

    Here: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=138010855&postcount=9

Important post there. If you do buy it, or another one, invest in a PPI, or else it can cost you down the line. Even if you find a car that you desire to purchase that is miles away, you can find someone to do a PPI from a distance. Just ask for specific referrals.

Pre Purchase Inspection,,,it goes over all issues of the car and includes compression check and leak down tests....

Best $500 you'll ever spend in this game!

like that great 50's song says....shop around...not just because any dealer that wants a deposit before showing the books and records isnt in the business of customer service..obviously they only want your money!!
but because there are many cars available from sellers in less humid climates than florida with similar miles...if you're set on giallo as the color just keep looking...the right one will pop up!!

You're smart to check here first. The best thing you can do is buy from the right dealer. If something goes wrong with a Toyota or Chevy after you drive it off the lot, you kind of shrug and fix it. With a Ferrari, it can be harder to shrug when you see the bill.

Agreed, just drop a note to Motorcars Int'l in Springfield MO, also check the Ferrari dealers. Sports Car Company in San Diego does a huge volume, and you have some great PPI options here to make sure the car is solid.
