    After two years of waiting, the day I've been waiting for finally came. I'm happy to report that I picked up my Ferrari California yesterday. What a fantastic car! It’s exactly what I was hoping it would be and more! The transmission is so unbelievably smooth. Driving via the paddle shifters is delightful. I’ve hardly let the full auto transmission get any playing time at all. The sonorous engine note is nothing short of intoxicating. Words cannot express how wonderful it sounds.

    Here are the options I chose:

    - TDF Blue exterior
    - Sabbia interior
    - Diamond seat stitching
    - Scuro blue contrasting stitching
    - Scuro blue carpets
    - Carbon Fiber Steering wheels with LEDs
    - Shields
    - 20" diamond finished wheels
    - Yellow calipers
    - Upgraded Hi-Fi stereo

    The California is truly a dream to drive. It can take on the persona of sports car or GT cruiser, just tell it what you want to do and it happily complies. The only area where Ferrari missed the mark is on the upgraded Hi-Fi stereo. I honestly can’t tell the difference between upgraded versus stock. IMHO, the stereo is in great need of separate subs to drive the low frequency sounds (ala the F430). If you are considering the upgraded stereo as an option, take my advice and go spend your $5k on other options. The good news is that with an exhaust note as great as the California, who needs a stereo anyways?

    +1 excellent choices in trim, body color, interior color and options, wheel package. TDF is one of the best Ferrari colors :)

    Excellent choice on the Cross hatched seats. I personally think this is the best choice for the CA.

    Grant- That is really pretty. Colors all go together perfectly. Have fun driving her. The stereo is just a small boat anchor on a Ferrari. All the music comes from induction noise and exhaust note.

    One of the nicest California's I've seen. Really excellent options and I love the seats with TDF, shields, Yellow calipers.

    Nicely done. Enjoy it!

    Terry is right on all points. The combo really works, congradulations! It takes a few weeks to get over the fact that you no longer have to wait!

    Play the 'music' loud and hard ... leave the stereo off. Mine has not been on in over a month with LOTS of driving.

    As others have noted the TdF Blu looks teriffic! The interior looks very tasteful; no piping on the seats and simple door panels without the seat pattern repeated there. Perfect timing to with spring arriving...

    I sat in a California with the Diamond stitching for 30 minutes as well as the Daytona seats. Although, aesthetically I preferred the diamond stitching, I felt more comfortable in the Daytona. So, that's what I ordered. Form follows function I guess, at least for me .

    that's a fantastic color combo. TDF seems to work well for any model...congrats!
