    i received information from aston martin today informing of the specs of the new vanquish s. clearly, the db9 hasn't been the only focus of aston martin. this was the was the first i had heard of the new car. i wonder what it is going to do to current vanquish prices. it seems to me a standard vanquish will be a much better car than the new db9.

    I think it will be okay for AM, since Vanquish prices have held steady asking $200K+ for a few years now while 550's tanked.

    I don't know, could be a toss up. I like the looks of the vanquish a little better but the DB9 has a nicer interior and close to the same power and a warranty with the new car. The one thing that would swing me to the Db9 is the Volante. No substitute for top down driving on a nice day!

    I never heard of the Vanquish S. Wow. Something else that is new. Interesting. Pretty sad since I try to stay abreast of the car market.

    The new Vanquish S will have an updated interior that is supposed to be more similiar to the DB9's style. Plus it is getting at least 500 horsepower, perhaps a tad more.

    The "S" is simply the 04 sport package now being standard. 527 HP, lowered and redisigned suspension. I had on 05 on order but cancelled it last month. Picked up an SL 55 instead. I had concerns about putting 20K miles a year on a Vanquish and its reliability, let alone trying to resell a 4-5 year old Vanquish with nearly 100K miles. The market on Vanquishes is limited, let alone those who can afford one ain't gonna buy one with that many miles.

    Also, the interior doesn't shout out I'm a quarter million dollar car. My wife said she didn't like the way the door shut...........the ultimate car test.........
