New Austin meeting spot...

    Fellow Driver,



    The new location for the weekly Austin area car show has arrived.



    Southwest corner of Interstate 35 and Highway 620 a.k.a. Round Rock Avenue. (map is below) Strip center parking lot…look for the McDonald’s.

    Show typically starts around 6pm on Saturday every week.



    Lets try and keep this one alive…please be courteous. We are adults here…just use common sense



    We are all going to have to work together to make this work…so please spread the word and lets meet up and get the show going again.



    A quick profile of this spot:

    1. Easy to access for safe entrances/exits

    2. Low profile entrances and exits for low profile cars

    3. Several eating places within walking distance with restrooms

    4. Heavily shaded lot for the summertime heat relief and grassy areas for lawn chairs and blankets

    5. Relatively easy to find location

    6. Family safe area

    7. Plenty of parking to support a few hundred cars…even with full commerce!

    8. Much more…

    Nice, I see lots of muscle, and vipers and i spotted that Ford Gt, thats the one I saw at the HEB. I think I see a friends mustang as well. Good turnout, would like to see some more Ferrari's and I'll be there this Saturday, I hope. HAHAH, I was looking some more and stopped the POPO. Hah, watching for burnouts?

    Actually the police were friendly...one even said "race you for pink slips"...it was a good time. Hope you guys like the new spot :) Come introduce yourself if you see me...look the plates "got one"

    I used to go back in the 90s when it was across I35. It was neat for a while, although it was mostly muscle cars, with occasional sports cars. It was nice until it turned into a circus with the FN'F boy racers, the spray paint guy, the booming music punks and low lifes leaving beer bottles and trash in the parking lot; gave everyone a bad name. I think I went once when it got run off to the Y, but I kind of soured on the whole thing.

    Great shots Mike!!!...and that was only a small portion :)

    Good getting to see you, I would have come out earlier, but the Texas AC Cobra club got together and I had to go by and see the legendary "Cammer" cobra.

    Pretty nice turnout considering there was another big car show in Austin.
    I'd really like to see more Vipers, Lotus, BMWs & Ford GTs at this show in the future. I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

    Nice pics Mike! Guess I just missed you. Grayson and Demitrious showed up shortly after you took off I suppose. I am out of town next weekend...but the weekend after that...Airshow time!!!
