Hi guys, haven't been around in a while. Been overhauling a new Helicopter I recently purchased, and honestly haven't driven my 348 in about a month.

went out to start it a few nights back and my battery was almost dead. I want to put a new one in it. I'm just worried all heck will break loose when I do.

I know this is a newby question. Can I change the battery without big problems?

    Thanks Indy

It's just a car battery. No drama is involved. Is your battery in the engine bay or in front of the front left wheel (i.e. early model 348 or late)?

It's a 1990. The battery is in the back. Man! a lot of new names here now.
I'm probably over reacting, but I'vr red some horror stories of guys changing batterys here. I know, I know, it's just a battery. Thanks,ND, I hope everything is going well for you. Indy

Change it and then with a cold engine do the ECU reset: http://www.the348.com/tech/348.html#resetECU

It's easy. Just let her idle for 10 minutes.

While we are on a roll - how does one change the battery on the later model 348's ie. battery located under the front wheel arch.
