Need to get a new battery as the current one can't hold a charge for more than a week or so. Seem to be a fair few to choose from, does the following spec one from Alphaline sound ok? Warranty seems much better than most!

    4 Year Warranty
    30% More Starting Power
    100% Maintenance Free
    Lead Calcium Technology
    Built in Charge Indicator

    Power: 72
    Cold cranking: 660

    Length x Width x Height
    278mm x 175mm x 190mm

    Weight: 20.9 kg

    £67 inc delivery

    Thanks for any help.

Not sure if Interstate batteries are sold in the UK, but an MT34R would be the one you'd want.

I've had one in my 328 since 2005, so far so good.

Whatever battery you decide to get, it's always good idea to get the Battery Tender too.

My 84 QV was delivered new from the dealer with an AC/DELCO battery- apparently the original Italian batteries were replaced at port upon importation. I latter replaced it with an Interstate- which is the brand I use in all my cars.
there is a battery cut off plug next to the spare wheel well on the left hand side of car- I used that successfully for many years.
