    Hey everyone,

Does anyone have more information in regards to the new releases from BBR for 2006? I was “Ferrari surfing” and came across some images of the upcoming F500 Ferrari that might be hitting our collections around Christmas time. Also I was told that the new 375’s will also be available within 6 to 8 weeks from now. I also heard that Mattel might loose their Ferrari licensing at the end of 2006, which I’m hoping that OTHER manufactures will begin to release their own 1:18 cars without any interference from Hotwheels. Don’t get me wrong here… I like Hotwheels 1:18 Ferraris, but I don’t like the only manufacture taking the entire pie for them selves. Maybe this will get Exoto off their BUTTS and begin releasing the 126 C2 and the 250 GTO models… Maybe!

That 500 F2 is from CMC not BBR. rumour has it that CMC is supposed to release one street car and one racing or formula one car per year.

    Ciao, Peter

The good thing about mattel is they sell decent 1/18 Ferraris at a reasonable price. If Mattel goes away, unless someone like Maisto gets involved, I would fear the only 1/18 you could buy will cost well over $100+. I don't Maisto is alwasys as good as Mattel

I understand your concern but my opinion is that everyone wants a high detailed 1:18 Ferrari but would not pay more than $50 for it. It would be nice to get something like BBR or Exoto quality without paying through the nose for it…. However I don’t mind time-to-time paying for a high Ferrari car for my collection. I would like to see some of these cars be limited production numbers, which keeps the value of a high priced car, and be more desirable to obtain by other collectors in the hobby.

Can anyone shed some light on the 275GTS by BBR? It is in their online catalogue as number BBR182 (in various colors) but no pics and probably not for sale yet.
