Just installed HD 9 Bendpak lift. Have a 360 Modena F1. Any ideas of pulling the car on front wise as minimal clearance problem with the front lip and I just don't feel comfortable backing on. Had to back on today and did not feel comfortable and could smell the clutch. Have any of you rigged somehow an extended approach ramp of sorts? Certainly do not want to abuse the clutch as was the case today.
Just overall a bad day today- New first time lift, Hot and humid as h..., new garage door and lift, and clutch abuse.
Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Put a few 2x6x24 inch boards down right under the ramp edges that contact the floor. The front tires will contact the boards first and lift the front by 2 inches providing additional clearance.

You can inquire about having the installed weld some longer ramps onto the existing. By doing this it will start raising the front of the car before it gets to the lift. I did this and it works great only issue is that I have to lift the ramps in order to close my garage. You may have more space so ti may not be an issue.

To the previous poster - a 2 x 4 is actually 1.5 x 3.5 so you will not get 2 inches of lift.

My car will hit the front on my lift if I just drive straight on (I have a DirectLift Heavy duty, extra long, extra wide, extra high model). I simply went to Home Depot and purchased 4 welcome mats. They were about 1/2" thick and very dense and heavy. I put the first one butting up against the end of the ramp leading up to the ramp, and the second one overlapping half on the ramp and half on the mat. I did that for both sides, and now I can drive up without hitting!

I have a pretty old version of the same lift (about 12 years old) but have no problems getting my 360 up on it. I had the optional aluminum ramps made up when I bought the lift, maybe they are longer. For my other cars I rigged up a small electric winch from Harbor Fright and I have use the 360 tow hook to bring the car up just to see if it worked, it worked great. I need the winch since my other car does not run and it lives above the 360

2 pieces of 2x6 lying side by side on each side will give you a wider support area for the tire.
