New BMW M5 Concept Revealed

I like it and an M class is about what is not seen but represented via performance.

 

Love it. I remember when you could barely tell if a car was an M and didnt have over the top bodykits and badges (seriously, count how many or on the current model)? I like the "sleeper" look alot more.

 

The original M5 comes too mind and still makes me gitty!!

I don't like the trend towards the bigger kidney grill.

 

It definitely looks better than the one it replaces (JMO)

M5 is THE standard Most favorite line of cars, ever.

 

Looks like I can return to lusting after M5s. I love the E39 but the E60 just fell flat for me. IMO, this is a return to the glory days.

 

Slap two 'twin scrolls' on that sucker and even more WOW!!

Much better looking than the one they previously built. I still don't like the scalloped out door lines though.

yeah those gills are pretty bad. but I love how "tame" it is...very stealth

 

I like it but it is very big!

 

So it looks like BMW has copied, almost exactly, the Ford Taurus fender vent and door line for the new M5!!

I suppose nobody cared about the X5M and X6M since they are trucks, but this definitely marks the end of an era - the first BMW M car with a turbocharged engine rather than a highly tuned normally aspirated engine, usually with individual throttle bodies (US E36 M3s being the exception to the ITB rule).

 

M3 will be the last NA ///M engine.

Is the 'stop-start' option even offered for N/A Bimmers at this time?

I would definitely drive one of these as a daily driver. It has more of the stateliness that BMWs are supposed to have.
