Walter, The US website for Dalton Watson shows a February 20th date for ordering. I live close enough to them to pick my books directly and have done so in the past. Maybe I should get them to forge a dedication to me in the book in your name! I'm sure that you will receive an outstanding reception for the book in Paris. For myself, I want to thank you for all your hard work and for your dedication to Maserati. We in the Maserati community truly value your expertise and your willingness to share it. Elliot
I bought your book walter ! Very good and fantastic pictures I hope we will see us at techno Classica Best regards Nicoas
Walter, If I order directly from you, how do you accept payment? Paypal, credit cards, etc. Please advise. FGM
Frank, If you order it directly from me I need to charge postage. So I advise to buy it directly via Home Ciao! Walter
Walter sincere congrats again, I enjoyed looking through your A6G book in Paris, I want to buy both your books (300S too) but want to see on which side of the Atlantic I settle first this spring. most of my Maser books are still in storage in Fort Lauderdale and I can't wait to consolidate my collection wherever I end up All the best, Marc
Walter, your 300s book was so good I've already placed a pre order on your new book! But how do I get you to sign it or me? Maybe you will be traveling to the Monterey Historic's this year? P.S. i can hardly wait for it's arrival!
Jonack, thanks for your nice comment. Yes, its in the pipeline to come to Monterey this year as one of my customers wants to see me there. But its not finally decided. If I`ll be there I would be more than pleased to sign your copy.
...all days in Hall 3 at the stand of The German Maserati Club. Looking forward to see and talk to you there.
Walter, I was checking with Walton Books and I was informed that the special addition of your new book is a limited printing with only 25 copies. I was told that those copies are reserved for the current owners of A6G 2000 automobiles. What about the poor souls like myself who can afford the limited addition book but not the car. Any hope for us to purchase one of the 25 limited addition books? Elliot
Dear Elliot, my publisher contacted me re. your inquiry/order and we found a solution for your pour soul...:) Hope you like it.
This poor soul leaps, as will your pocket book, at the thought that I may enter nirvana. Thanks for the accommodation, Walter. I appreciate it. I'll contact Glyn and work out picking it up at his place when I get back from L.A. in late March. I'm off to our other home for some warmth. Elliot
I receive my Zagato book from Dalton. They were very accommodating and quick in getting it out to me. It came very well boxed directly to my PO Box here in Palm Springs. Walter has done a fantastic job of pulling everything together, which is not easy when it comes to these old cars. It is a big book with hundreds of very large photos. You can tell Walter is a photographer and a historian, as he presents the photos in such a way that the photos will be carefully scrutinized for hundreds of years by followers of such minutia. He very obviously had access to Sig. Cozza's many file folders in order to track some of the owners and actions taken with the cars. I especially liked the the history of 2137 The Panini Chassis and bits and of course, the most beautiful of them all the Di Natale/ David Sydorick double bubble # 2121. This is not to discount the history of the others which is equally as interesting. A smile came across my face when I noted the prices in Lira paid when the cars changed hands and thought to myself yea, sure, such a low price reported. I wonder what the real price was considering what was paid (under the table.) Can the book be criticized? Sure, but not here, as this is Walters time to shine in the sun and bask in the glory. Great job Walter. Ciao, FGM Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Frank, thanks for your warm comments about my new "opus"... You ask: can the book criticised? Yes, for sure - because "Nobody is perfect" (Osgood Fielding III in "Some like it hot"!). Later this year I will start my next book-project............
Frank, interestingly you mentioned the Sydorick-A6G 2000 Zagato, Chassis #2121, as "the most beautiful of all"! Well, I have here my own opinion, in particular when I see the roof design of the car on period (!!) photos.................
